About this space

The Fish Room is an Event Space in the Royal Society of Chemistry characterised by formal neoclassical architecture and a high domed ceiling.

Design: The room has a rectangular plan centred on a shallow dome and stone columns, with tall timber-framed windows that admit natural light. The interior combines original timber doors and moulded cornices with carpeted reception zones and hard flooring that define circulation.

Features: The room provides venue Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a PA system, and permits external DJs or playing your own music subject to a noise restriction. An interconnecting doorway opens onto an adjoining meeting space with a projection screen, and the space is wheelchair accessible with step-free entry and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Academic and professional groups seeking a formal, institutional setting for seated meetings or standing receptions.

What guests say: The room is elegant and characterful and the staff service is attentive. The room's catering and meeting support are reliable and responsive.
