The Control Room is a dedicated mixing, engineering, and critical-listening environment. It is designed for the detail work that happens after tracking: mixing, overdubs, audio post-production, vocal comping, and music supervision, and is equipped with a reference monitor chain rarely found at this hire level.
The monitoring setup is the room's defining feature: Yamaha NS-10Ms, Adam Audio near-fields, Genelec monitors, and Avantone mixcubes give engineers four distinct reference points across the full frequency spectrum. Monitoring is controlled via a Mackie Big Knob Studio Command System for switching.
The signal chain includes a Toft Audio ATC-2 mic pre, compressor, and EQ channel strip, a Focusrite Platinum TwinTrak Pro dual-channel vocal strip, a Lexicon MX-400 stereo reverb and effects processor, a Behringer Tube Ultragain valve preamp, and a Focusrite Vocal Channel strip. A full Samson patchbay handles routing. The room runs Logic Pro on an Apple Mac Mini with an Arturia MIDI keyboard.
The space is well-suited to mixing sessions, vocal and instrument overdubs, audio post-production for film and podcast, music supervision, and one-to-one production mentoring. It is available for dry hire or with an engineer. Minimum booking of two hours. The room connects operationally with the live room and can be used as the engineer's base during a full tracking session.

This is a professional creative space inside a building that is used for community support. Please read before your first session.
Respect the space and the people
Treat everyone with dignity. No harassment, bullying or discrimination of any kind.
No smoking, drugs or alcohol - The entire building is substance-free. Anyone found in breach will be asked to leave immediately.
Equipment:
Do not touch or operate equipment you have not been briefed on. All equipment is PAT-tested and must be treated with care. Any damage caused by misuse is the responsibility of the hirer. Please inform the studio before bringing your own kit.
No food or drink in the studio rooms:
Refreshments are welcome in the designated area outside the studio. Please use the bins provided and leave the space as you found it.
Confidentiality and creative ownership: Do not record or share without explicit permission. Complete split sheets for all collaborations.
Phones and filming
No filming, photography or live streaming without prior consent from everyone in the room.
Be on time and be present
Arrive on time. Sessions run to schedule. This is a professional environment — late arrivals affect everyone in the space.
Safety and access
Follow all safety instructions given on arrival. Commercial hirers are permitted to use the studio area and ground-floor toilet only. All visitors must be signed in by a staff member on arrival. Fire escape procedures will be shared on arrival.
Noise
Keep noise appropriate outside sessions, particularly on arrival and departure.
Consequences
Breaches of these rules may result in a verbal warning, removal from the session, or termination of the booking. No refunds will be issued for removal due to rule violations.
