I liked that the space offered set up and cleaning service at no extra cost. Also liked the idea of not having to worry about hiring crockery and cutlery.
There was a lack of transparency regarding the cancellation policy during the booking process, as well as inconsistencies in the information provided about the venue’s capacity. Before booking, I was informed—and the venue listing also stated—that the space could accommodate 40 seated guests. However, after securing the venue and paying the deposit, I was told that it would be too small to seat 40 guests for the type of event I was planning. By that point, it was too late to cancel and receive a full refund. The events manager Victor offered little reassurance that the venue could support the event as originally described. Ultimately, I lost my deposit and had to secure another venue just one week before my event. Although I regret the financial loss, I’m grateful that switching venues led to a much better experience and an excellent turnout—something Fletchers Bar and Eatery could not have guaranteed.

The price and amount of time we had. Staff tried their best.
The Venue was dirty, very dirty. I'm talking cobwebs, dust, flies, sticky surfaces, smelly coach, very dirty. We all felt very uncomfortable being there. The sound system was poor. Only one of 5 speakers worked. Only a door between the room and the public bar so didn't feel very private. The cutlery and plates were dirty, and wet. We had to request EVERYTHING. which felt awkward after a few trips. Bless the staff that helped us though. They were trying to polish turd essentially. Not sure I would come here again even if it was free. Parking wasn't easy either.
