Could not fault Will and the team! Had my 40th birthday at the venue and it was nothing but fabulous (kind of makes you want to own a place as cool as this)! The communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Could not recommend any more highly!

Birthday Party · 60 guests · April 2025 · Whole Venue

I had my 40th at Sugar Glider and I can not fault Will and the team. Will went above and beyond to ensure I had a magical time; right from our very first interaction he was just incredible. I had the best time, and I highly recommend this venue for any special occasion where unpretentious, funky FUN is the order of the day.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

About Sugar Glider

Sugar Glider is a Trusted Tagvenue Partner, validated by the Tagvenue team with a record of successful bookings on the platform.

Sugar Glider is a cosy neighbourhood bar that centres on community-led entertainment nights such as karaoke, trivia and open-mic, and an informal, welcoming atmosphere.

Venue highlights: The bar functions as an event-focused venue that regularly stages promoted and ticketed entertainment nights and supports host-run performances. The bar offers a focused drinks service, including made-to-order mocktails, and does not operate an in-house kitchen so external catering or brought-in food is commonly used for private hires. The venue stays open late and provides an accessible parking spot plus free off-site parking for attendees.

Best for: Karaoke and live-music nights; Trivia and quiz nights; Small ticketed launches or artist showcases.

Location: Fitzroy is a creative precinct known for its nightlife, street art and independent shops, providing plenty of nearby late-night eateries and takeaway options for guests before or after an event.

What guests say: The bar's staff provide attentive, personalised service and can accommodate alcohol-free drinks on request. The venue's programming supports lively, well-run karaoke, trivia and open-mic nights and late-night bookings.
