About The Castle & Falcon
The Castle and Falcon established itself way back in 1852 and is a proud part of the Molloy Enterprises family-run business est. 2006 and has been home to live music for decades, hosting legendary acts such as UB40 and Duran Duran whilst also being the epicenter for Birmingham’s punk scene for several years. January 2017 saw a complete renovation and reopened as a 400-capacity standing venue space, returning to our original name The Castle and Falcon.
We’ve been lucky enough to have bands travel as far as Canada, North and South America, Australia, and even Russia to play at The Castle and Falcon, as well as giving a platform to some of the biggest rising stars in music right here in the UK. Special performances have seen the likes of Sam Fender, Tom Walker, Mahalia, The Night Cafe, Seafret, and many many more grace The Castle & Falcon stage.
The venue’s roots are firmly in Irish heritage and it’s been a family run business for many years. It’s home to Birmingham’s ‘Trad Fest’ – an annual event celebrating the sights and sounds of traditional Irish music as well as being one of the key venues on the St Patricks Day Parade celebrations which attracts visitors from all over the world every year.
We like to keep busy here and try to have as many new and exciting acts play one of the leading venues in the city of Birmingham. With world-class production facilities coupled with friendly staff we welcome everyone to come and grab a flavour of what we are all about. We operate 7 days a week and every Friday and Saturday you’ll find us dancing long into the night with our resident DJs spinning classic tracks long into the night.
