U-Bar at City Winery

About this space

U-Bar is a semi-private bar area in City Winery that functions as a compact, contained social hub within the larger venue.

Design: The U-Bar presents an industrial-loft aesthetic centred on a low-profile curved brick counter, polished concrete floors and an exposed dark ceiling. The seating uses leather-topped bar stools and a painted chalkboard wall listing wines to emphasise the wine-bar character.

Features: The U-Bar provides a dedicated service counter with bar seating and an open standing area for mingling. The area includes a PA system and speakers, allows hosts to play their own music, and provides venue Wi‑Fi and air conditioning. The space is wheelchair accessible and benefits from a step‑free guest entrance and accessible toilets nearby.

Ideal for: Work groups and friend groups will find the space well suited to relaxed, social standing receptions and informal networking.

What sets it apart: A suspended canopy of bottles and hanging glassware forms an overhead display above the counter.

What guests say: The space has strong sound and a classy, intimate vibe. The bar area is supported by professional, attentive staff.
