About this space

The Diner is a private event space in RPM Underground that pairs retro, neon-lit diner styling with an informal counter-and-booth layout.

Design: The room presents a compact, retro diner aesthetic framed by exposed concrete, metal accents and vintage signage. The ceiling displays visible ductwork and the lighting is low and directional, keeping the space intimate.

Features: The space contains a wall-mounted flat-screen monitor, a small bar counter with stool seating, bench seating and movable tables for flexible layouts. The room includes Wi‑Fi, PA speakers and permission to play your own music, and the venue provides wheelchair access and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Small groups of friends or colleagues seeking a relaxed, social setting that supports mixed seating and standing formats.

What guests say: The space has a friendly, underground atmosphere and attentive, responsive event staff. The venue's song library is extensive, though in-room audio quality has been inconsistent.

Raj and his team were very helpful and courteous. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to have a nice party in a classy, speak-easy-type establishment in Manhattan. Great venue, especially for the price.
