Villa & Gardens at Historic Italian Renaissance Villa & Garden
About this space
Housed within the historic Guasti Villa, this remarkable Italian Renaissance mansion offers an atmosphere of old-world Los Angeles glamour. Built between 1910 and 1914 for Italian vintner Secondo Guasti, the estate was conceived as a personal homage to Italy, with European art and decorative pieces brought into the home.
Guests enter through an impressive foyer defined by marble floors, carved and inlaid woodwork, arched openings, handcrafted moulding and soaring, hand-painted ceiling frescoes. A grand staircase creates a cinematic arrival moment, while vintage chandeliers, fireplaces, ornate ceilings and richly detailed living and dining rooms give every space its own distinct character.
The interiors feel layered rather than formal: elegant enough for a luxury brand dinner or reception, yet warm and intimate for a private celebration, creative workshop, wellness gathering or cocktail event. Expansive windows bring in generous natural light and frame the villa’s gardens, making the transition between the indoor rooms and outdoor setting feel effortless.
The villa’s history—from the Guasti family to Hollywood director and choreographer Busby Berkeley—adds a sense of true LA heritage that cannot be replicated in a conventional event space.
