Tucked into a quiet corner of Bushwick just 15 minutes from Manhattan, The 1896 is a fully gated historic complex offering over 12,000 sq ft of distinctive industrial space for film, photography, and immersive events. A certified QPF Level 1 film stage, The 1896 blends the cinematic soul of turn-of-the-century Brooklyn with the infrastructure today’s productions and experiences demand.
Originally built in the 19th century, our four interconnected brick warehouses feature hand-scenic’d textured walls (no two alike), soaring 30-ft ceilings, and a dramatic mix of natural light and moody patina. Whether you're planning a feature shoot, fashion editorial, live performance, or brand activation, The 1896 delivers scale, flexibility, and a raw visual edge that inspires.

The 1896 used to be a block-long factory, manufacturing electrical conduit. Built-in the day when artisans toiled over the elements of masonry, its design was born out of the craft.
