The Organ Factory: A Grade II listed Victorian Neo-Gothic building in Shoreditch near Columbia Road, built in 1840. Once a school and later a pipe organ factory, it now serves as a versatile venue for shoots and events, blending historic charm with modern amenities.
The Main Hall is the largest space, measuring 3,100 sq. ft. with dimensions of 17.94 m x 8.834 m and a rig height of 4.5 m.
Facilities include:
- Voicing Shop (Hair & Makeup): 300 sq. ft.
- Annex Kitchen: 650 sq. ft.
- Production Office & Mezzanine Balcony: 200 sq. ft.
- Loading Bay: 150 sq. ft.
Additional Features: Ground floor access.
The Mill & Bar features exposed brick walls, Victorian doors, crittal windows, and rustic beams. It includes double access doors leading to the forecourt and offers an optional adjoining cocktail bar for enhanced functionality and lighting options.

About The Organ Factory

The Organ Factory is the former workshop of Mander Organs, one of Britain's most celebrated pipe organ restorers and builders. For more information on Mander Organs, please see the History section.
The site was restored by Hackney Studios in 2023. Hackney Studios also have photographic and film studios in the Tram Depot in Clapton, east London. Originally a school built in 1840, The Organ Factory is situated close to Columbia Road, Hackney City Farm and Broadway Market in Shoredich. It is situated to the left of the magnificant St Peter's Church in St Peter's Square.
The main building comprises three large spaces: the Main Hall, The Mill, and the Chapel Studio which can be hired altogether.
