Welcome to The Britannia Shoreditch a slice of East End history. Once a famous boozer in the Brick Lane area, now an exclusive private home and event space for your enjoyment. Inside, the venue has high ceilings, huge windows (but privacy guaranteed) wood interiors, a chef’s kitchen, a 16-person dining table, and a main living space with a large sofa, gas fire, and plenty of corners that work well on camera or for more relaxed social and corporate events. A Sony 80" HDTV with Dolby Atmos 7.2 surround sound makes for fantastic screenings and presentations. The rest of the house is Sonos ready for your enjoyment.
Upstairs, a staircase leads through the property and up to the roof terrace, which is one of the main features of the venue. With festoon lighting and skyline views, it adds a good extra layer to the space, whether you’re planning a private event or looking for a London backdrop for a production. The Britannia is a private residential venue, so guests are asked to treat the space with care and respect.
Smoking is not permitted inside the property. Smoking may take place outside and on the roof, but guests should be mindful of neighbours and dispose of cigarettes responsibly.
Alcohol may be brought for private events and celebrations; however, guests must drink responsibly and comply with all applicable laws. The venue cannot be used for unauthorised public events or alcohol sales.
The property contains carefully curated furniture, artwork, and design elements. Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, furnishings, or equipment during their booking.
Furniture may be moved to suit your event or production, but it must be returned to its original position before departure.
The chef’s kitchen may be used during events or productions but must be left clean and tidy after use.
The roof terrace is available for guests to enjoy, but noise should be kept to a reasonable level out of respect for neighbouring properties.
Please ensure the venue is left in a clean and orderly condition, with all personal items, decorations, and equipment removed at the end of your booking.
The Britannia is best suited for private gatherings, dinners, celebrations, creative events, filming, and photo shoots. This rental is exclusively one use per rental agreement, no third party rentals. Thank you.
Cancellation policy: Standard 60 day with Grace Period
