Bar Beach Tropical's outdoor terrace is a beauty that turns every event into a tropical paradise out there in New Cross. A giant covered outdoor space, it flaunts a boldly coral-orange, chevron-patterned floor, which lends the bolder beach appeal.
The terrace is also flexible for arrangements-so one can have quaint rattan table-and-chair sets for small groups or large-scale mint-green picnic benches for bigger groups. The entire outdoor terrace has a glass canopy to keep one protected; a neat framework hides heaters to keep the ambiance warm through winter.
Rushes in for afternoon-party vibes with birthday celebrations, brunch, or community happenings. The outdoor terrace flows straight through to the main bar, effortlessly weaving an indoor-outdoor event experience that feels like a true tropical escape in the throbbing New Cross district.
The outdoor terrace is outfitted with a PA system and has access to speakers and a microphone. We can relocate the DJ booth to the terrace and set up a small mobile bar upon request.

Bar Beach Tropical pays homage to an island paradise in New Cross at 44 Lewisham Way. Fully tropical in design, this venue offers an immersive event space ideal for brunches, day parties, birthday celebrations, and community gatherings. The main bar is brightly hued, with exposed brick walls in raw finish, coral-pink top surfaces made of painted reclaimed wood, and a somewhat contrasting-but-appealing style of panelling made from polished reclaimed wood, coupled with woven basket pendant lights and turquoise banquette seating allowing for flexible table modes.
Tropical artwork and living green walls breathe life into this authentic paradise atmosphere, neon lightingsmoulds the mood where shadows take over by night. There's also a gorgeous outdoor terrace and beer garden complete with heaters operational all year round, alongside convenient facilities including toilets equipped with baby changing amenities. Being a sibling to Bar Beach Grill, it caters for anywhere from intimate groups to larger parties, with extended hours until 2:30 A.M. on weekends.
