Mercure Melbourne Doncaster also offers 3 unique outdoor terraces, 2 of which have direct access from Tower Room. Giving your guests the option of refreshing outdoor spaces for conference breaks, pre-dinner drinks or post meeting gatherings. The initial engagement from Emily was brilliant in securing the venue. She provided all the details I required and was very responsive. The venue itself was beautiful, and was the right amount of space for our attendees. The food came out on time, the AV equipment ran smoothly (we used mic, projector/HDMI and speakers) and access to the outdoor terrace was appreciated. The drinks on arrival were also a great touch.

I wasn't told until the day before the event that there wasn't a bar in the room (not sure if I just missed this in the information booklets given or not). As we had to use the shared bar there were some noise complaints about the attendees and we feel that this wasn't handled great by the bar staff who were rude to attendees. The entrees were lovely, but we have had some feedback that the mains needed more seasoning, would have been great to have salt and pepper potentially on the tables.
