The Studio at ISH is an intimate private dining and event space located within ISH on Gertrude Street, Fitzroy. Designed for celebrations, corporate dinners and social gatherings, the space combines warm interiors, exposed textures and a relaxed Melbourne atmosphere with the hospitality and modern Indian dining experience ISH is known for.
The Studio is ideal for birthdays, engagements, corporate dinners, client entertaining, Christmas parties, networking events and private celebrations.
Since opening in 2018, ISH has followed a seasonal approach to dining, creating menus around locally sourced produce while keeping regional Indian flavours and techniques at the heart of the experience. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free requirements can be accommodated, with bespoke menus and interactive additions such as our Pani Puri Ritual also available.
For larger celebrations, exclusive use of ISH can also be arranged, allowing guests to enjoy the restaurant across both levels.

Host rules
• Bookings are confirmed once the required payment or deposit has been received. Final guest numbers and dietary requirements must be provided at least 7 days before the event.
• A minimum spend may apply for exclusive venue hire depending on the day, time and guest numbers. Any outstanding balance must be settled before or on the day of the event as agreed.
• Outside food and beverages are not permitted, except celebration cakes by prior arrangement. Cakeage may apply.
• Decorations are welcome with prior approval. Confetti, glitter, open flames and anything that may damage walls, furniture or venue fittings are not permitted. Any damage caused during the event may be charged to the organiser.
• A complimentary 30-minute setup period is available before the event. Additional setup time must be arranged in advance.
• Sunday and public holiday surcharges may apply. All cancellations, date changes and refunds are subject to the agreed booking terms.
• Guests are expected to respect the venue, staff and surrounding residents at all times. Responsible service of alcohol applies, and management reserves the right to refuse service where required.
