About this space

Upstairs Private Event Space is an Event Space in Aces Bar @ Brunswick Aces and is a secluded upstairs lounge separated from the main bar, providing a private setting for booked groups.

Design: The room has deep blue painted walls, pale timber flooring and large windows that admit generous natural light. The furnishing mixes low sofas and mid-height upholstered chairs in jewel tones, and a white fabric-draped ceiling softens the overhead profile.

Features: The room includes a built-in PA system and speakers and allows guests to play their own music or bring a DJ. The space provides Wi‑Fi and air conditioning, and the furniture can be rearranged to create an open floor for dancing or a presentation area.

Ideal for: Small to medium social groups seeking a relaxed, lounge-style space that accommodates a mix of seated conversation and standing socialising.

What guests say: The space presents a warm, welcoming atmosphere and comfortable seating. The music and overall ambience are consistently mentioned as highlights.

Birthday Party · 35 guests · May 2026

Beautiful venue with a wonderful team and delicious gin 💗 Held my birthday party in the private room upstairs, and my guests raved about how lovely it was there. I got the grazing boards and they were delicious - so well stocked and such good value too! Fraser and the team were great to deal with. Highly recommend!

Birthday Dinner · 45 guests · November 2025

Absolutely fantastic venue and Stephen is amazing to work with. Attention to detail and overall presentation of the venue was appreciated by all. Stephen is very patient and considerate and took the pressure off of the hosting aspect of the party. Venue itself is beautiful and does not need much decoration. It’s got enough space for people to mingle or sit and have chats. We will definitely be hosting there again.

FAQ

The upstairs space has chairs and plenty of comfortable couches, and the layout is fully customisable, so furniture can be arranged as preferred or removed entirely.

No. The upstairs space is only accessible via stairs.

Yes, the gin garden is weather dependent and would be cancelled if raining, as about one-quarter of the area is undercover.
