There was one or two helpful member of staff, booking the venue itself was easy and it was a really reasonable price for Edinburgh City centre
If I couldn't get hold of the one or two helpful people, nothing got done. Phones and emails weren't answered or there was a long delay on replies, I had to wait for a seasonal menu - which was fine - but then had to chace multiple times to get this and was eventually given the wrong thing, which the venue wouldn't honour so I had to back round all guests again with their event menu very close to the time final info was needed, although a 2 day extension was given to help with this. The final cost was more than had been advised (£28 a head) as a service charge was included before the event and the bill was therefore more than I had advised people it would be. I had to ask to have this removed as I don't feel comfortable tipping before service and the experience up to the had been poor. At the event despite place names being out at all seats I needed to walk round each setting with a member of staff and read the names out to them instead of them reading them themselves. The food was okay, chicken goujons were overcooked and some people had their mains taken away before they were finished

The venue is an amazing vibe! I would recommend to anyone. The bar staff were friendly and efficient and we were allowed show arounds at late notice.
We had a cake we brought in ourself but the staff weren’t very resourceful or helpful with this, we didn’t have anything to light candles with so had to nip over to the shops in the middle of the party to get one and had to cut the cake to serve to guests ourself.

Venue was great, exactly what we were looking for. Enclosed, our own space, great seating/standing options and the staff were excellent - accommodating and couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a great time and would definitely recommend or consider again for future events. Comms in the run up to our event were also very good and helped a great deal so that I could make the necessary arrangements. Thank you!

The manager, Dori, was an absolute delight to deal with; all requests and queries were responded to promptly in an obliging, friendly manner. The venue itself is lovely; the Clubroom where we were situated was tucked out of the way of the main bar but still connected enough we didn't feel totally alone. All the staff were super friendly and helpful (especially Helena!), and throughout the night all the guests felt welcome and well-looked after. The food is of excellent quality as well. Would 100% recommend Angel's Share for private events!'
