Excellent venue with a lovely set-up, especially the patio heaters and high-quality tent cover, which kept us comfortably sheltered from the rain. The BBQ was fantastic, very well organised, with an efficient system for drinks and food tickets. The food itself was delicious, and it was a real highlight having it freshly cooked in front of us. The staff truly stood out. They were friendly, attentive and incredibly helpful throughout the evening, which really enhanced our overall experience. The events team were also excellent from the initial booking through to the event itself. They maintained regular communication and responded to any queries promptly and efficiently. Overall, great value for money and a thoroughly enjoyable event. We would highly recommend The Roseate Edinburgh.
Once our drinks tokens were used up, we found the bar prices to be quite high. £12 for a single spirit felt excessive compared to typical local venues. As a result, we chose to leave earlier than planned to take advantage of more reasonably priced bars nearby.

Some of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
We were not told that the Club Prive was in a separate building over the road to the hotel. The food had to be carried across the road, which meant it arrived barely warm. The drinks weren't what we expected, the room was stifling hot as they advertise 36 people could fit but we had 29 and were uncomfortably squashed. There was poor communication throughout the booking process, I contacted through TagVenue in August and wasn't even sure it was actually booked until a month before the event! There's no bar in the venue so all drinks are pre ordered bottles, that they open, which works but as you have no idea how much people will want we ordered a "guestimate" thinking if we run out they'll have more. We ordered wine that was opened even though only one person was drinking wine, the other wine shouldn't have been opened and should have been refunded. The furniture was upcycled chairs, lovely but uncomfortable for events and certainly not the furniture in the picture of the Club Prive on Tagvenue. We wouldn't recommend or return.

They were very accommodating to our requests, and they were very helpful at all times including with the setting up of our ceremony and attending to us and our guests while we were there. The reception space and ceremony area were perfect. The conservatory is a lovely space for holding a ceremony, surrounded by nature.
We ordered canapés which were a bit underwhelming and a very small amount for the high price paid, and were presented spread out on a single tray rather than on plates. It would’ve been nicer if they were put out on a table with individual plates so guests could take a plate for themselves.
