The venue booked our event, my wife’s birthday, for the wrong date. When I arrived, I was told they did not have our reservation for that evening and they were fully booked that night with other parties. This is despite the fact that the event coordinator suggested this date to me. It was not my first choice. I had more than 20 people attending. The manager did his best to accommodate us by carving out some space, but then another party arrived and some of their guests confronted my guests about being in their space. It was completely embarrassing and ruined what I hoped to be a great night.
