The Terrace at The Raines Law Room at The William

About this space

The Terrace is a semi-private outdoor lounge in The Raines Law Room at The William, defined by its intimate, conversational scale.

Design: The space has dark-painted walls, vertical timber slat panels and a stone-tiled floor arranged around low, upholstered bench seating with teal cushions. The proportions are compact and the lighting is kept low to maintain an intimate, sheltered feel.

Features: A portable bar occupies one corner while a continuous banquette wraps two walls, supplemented by cocktail-height tables and small benches that allow mixed standing and seated layouts. The space includes Wi‑Fi, a PA/speaker system that accepts guest playlists, permission for own music, and wheelchair access.

Ideal for: Small, social groups seeking a relaxed standing reception or informal seated drinks in a sheltered outdoor setting.

What sets it apart: A latticed pergola fitted with festoon lighting creates a covered, private al fresco room that remains useable after dusk.

What guests say: The space projects a speakeasy-style atmosphere and is noted for distinctive décor and well-maintained, tidy furnishings.
