About this space

A new brewery and taproom in Bushwick specializing in European-style lagers. While beer is our primary focus, Eckhart was designed to offer a more complete hospitality experience than is typical of most city breweries.

Rather than a single large, warehouse-style room, our taproom is composed of four distinct spaces, each with its own character and ambiance. The overall design is warm and inviting, with clean white walls trimmed in dark wood, padded banquettes, and cozy arched booths that create a more intimate setting for gatherings of various sizes.

At the front of the space is our double-height biergarten, which features full façade windows that fill the room with natural light during the day and chandeliers that set a welcoming mood in the evening. The biergarten offers communal seating with long tables and benches, evoking the feel of a classic European beer hall.

In addition, we have a separate mezzanine space that can accommodate up to 60 guests. This area includes its own private bar and restrooms, making it especially well-suited for private events.

Food is a key component of the Eckhart experience. Our owner is a former fine-dining chef, and while our menu is simple and homey in spirit, it is executed with great attention to detail.
