About this space
The Front Terrace at The Penmar sits right by the first tee, so you’ve got open views of the course and that easy outdoor feel. It’s a true al fresco space, with a mix of picnic tables, cocktail rounds, and standard seating. We can seat around 80 guests comfortably, or host up to 120 for a standing reception.
It works well for all kinds of events — baby showers, kids’ parties, corporate mixers, and sports watch gatherings. There’s a large Jumbotron and two additional flat screens already in place, and plenty of room to add satellite bars or food stations if you’d like. It’s open-air and relaxed, but fully set up to run a smooth, well-organised event.

As a proud city-owned property, we strive to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Please note that smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises, including the parking lot. To preserve our grounds, we ask that all guests—including children and pets—stay clear of restricted areas such as the Penmar truck, the stage, and the putting greens; any resulting damage will be the responsibility of the Host. While we are not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items brought onto the property, we are happy to help you coordinate a secure setup.
Regarding refreshments, outside food and drink are not permitted unless pre-approved in writing at least 10 days before your event. To remain a "good neighbor" and comply with our ABC licensing, amplified sound and live music are exclusively hosted on Fridays and Saturdays until 9:00 PM. All sound levels are subject to our team's discretion to ensure legal decibel compliance, and music from external speakers must conclude promptly by 9:00 PM to avoid a city-mandated penalty of up to $10,000. We appreciate your cooperation in following all local laws and venue regulations to ensure a seamless and successful celebration.
