About this space

Our stylish main bar is the perfect space for a number of occasions from networking with tea, coffee and pastries to a birthday party with a live band or DJ. The space can seat up to 60 people and fit up to 120 people standing. Moreover, it can be easily combined with the Library area to accommodate additional 20 guests seated.

Our hire fees are based on a 4-5 hour booking but we can be flexible with timings. The hire fee also covers having a member of staff on the bar exclusively for your booking.

Main bar booking prices are open to negotiation depending on time, date and number of people. Please enquire for a tailored package.

Hire fees can be lessened Monday- Thursday depending on the booking requirements.

Food orders must be placed at least a week before your booking and paid in advance. We have private hire menus available depending on the space.

We ask that all dietary requirements and allergens be passed over at the same time as the pre-order.

Allowed events

Host rules

No smoking or vaping in the building, only in designated outside smoking areas.
No outside catering allowed apart from cakes/ birthday cakes.
Rooftop closes at 10pm so last orders will usually be called around 9:30pm. Last orders for the rest of the venue called around 11:30/11:45pm as our licence ends at midnight.
Decorations are allowed for any private hire booking but do not include the use of glitter or confetti. Any decorations you bring with you are to be taken with you on the night or collected within 48 hours of your booking. Blue/white tac and cellotape may be used but drawing pins are prohibited.
Please make us aware of any special requirements you may have, along with any allergies or dietary requirements in your party and we will be happy to accommodate.
No under 18s after 9pm in the main bar. Children can attend private bookings but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Tempest on Tithebarn has a zero tolerance drugs policy and any abuse or violence towards to staff will result in your booking ending immediately.

About Tempest on Tithebarn

Brand new venue opened in 2021 from the people that bought you Ma Boyle's Alehouse & Eatery. Tempest is a fantastic space to host your event, whether it be an office party, birthday, wedding, christening or funeral.

We are situated in the heart of the city centre with excellent transport links and very close to local amenities and tourist attractions such as the Albert Dock and Liverpool’s Pier Head.

Whether reserving a table for a few friends or hiring out one of our four spaces, Tempest is a versatile space. We can accommodate most types of functions and private hire requests, so please get in touch with our team to discuss your event.
