Izakaya Miyazaki is a Japanese restaurant in the basement of 114 Russell Street, in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. We specialise in A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, an extensive sake list, and Japanese set menus built around Toyosu-market seafood.

We offer six private dining rooms, each enclosed by sliding shoji doors and lit by lanterns. Five have a yakiniku grill built into the table, so guests cook together rather than sitting through a conventional served meal. Our largest room seats twelve around a long marble table.

Every private room booking includes a complimentary kimono fitting for the whole party — a detail guests remember long after the meal.

For larger groups, canapé functions cater for 15 to 80 guests across the venue. We hold canapé functions during the day, Monday to Thursday, when the restaurant is closed to the public. That means the basement is yours alone — no other diners, no shared room, and no finish time dictated by a dinner service.
