About this space

Luna Park Melbourne is an enduring amusement park with a strong heritage character. Its event spaces connect formal entertaining with the park’s distinctive identity.

Design: The main event room has a formal banquet layout framed by checkerboard flooring, arched windows and a black ceiling. White table settings and suspended floral arrangements create a polished contrast against the bold architectural finishes.

Features: A dance floor anchors the room, while a PA system supports announcements and music. Hosts may bring their own DJ and music, with Wi-Fi, air conditioning and natural light supporting event planning. Step-free access, accessible toilets and wheelchair access are available.

Ideal for: Families and mixed-age groups looking for an informal, activity-led gathering with a social atmosphere.

What sets it apart: The park’s perimeter roller coaster and giant ornate carousel provide two instantly recognisable centrepieces that are distinctive to the venue.

What guests say: The park suits younger children and thrill-seeking teenagers through a range of gentler and more exciting rides. The atmosphere is fun and manageable rather than chaotic.
