About this space

Tavern Main is a Bar area in Fortress Melbourne and a spacious, open-plan room that pairs booth seating with high tables and flexible standing areas.

Design: The room presents dark timber panelling, leather-upholstered booths and patterned carpet under a low, exposed ceiling. The lighting is warm and subdued from chandeliers and wall sconces, creating a grounded, traditional pub interior.

Features: The space includes a full-length bar counter and several wall-mounted screens for broadcasts. The room has an installed PA system and speakers and permits external music to be played. Wi‑Fi and air conditioning are available. The layout provides a timber-floored open area suitable as a dancefloor, plus a step-free guest entrance and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Groups seeking a relaxed, social evening that mixes standing drinks, dancing and casual seated dining.
