Juliet Melbourne is a beautiful basement space and our Behind Bar space is capable of providing stand-up functions for 20 to 40 people and sit-down events for 20 to 30.

The area is available 7 days a week for exclusive and semi-exclusive bookings. It is ideal for both corporate events and private functions alike. A range of menu options are available, including full sit-down meals, canapés and food stations.

Juliet Melbourne’s interior has been hand crafted to create a relaxing space to unwind. From our American oak timber panelling, to the hand blown glass light shades, every fine detail has been thought through.

We pride ourselves on tailoring each event to the needs of our guests, as we understand that each event, group and situation requires flexibility.

Cancellation policy

Guests may cancel their Booking until 15 days before the event start time and will receive a 90% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price.

Guests may cancel their Booking less than 15 days before the event start time and receive a 80% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price.

Rules of the space

Tentative bookings will be held for a period of seven (7) days only, at which time the booking will be released if a signed copy of our acceptance form and deposit have not been received.

Bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of a signed copy of term and conditions and deposit.

Deposit: The 20% of the minimum spend is required to confirm the booking. The deposit amount will be deducted from the total bill at the end of the event and is not refunded.

Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full seven (7) business days prior to the event.

Set Up and Delivery: you will be able to access the venue 1 hour prior to event unless you have organised prior.

Damages and Cleaning: Organisers are liable for any costs relating to any damage or extensive cleaning that is caused by an event.

Confirmation Of Attendance: Anticipated final numbers are required seven (7) working days prior to your event.

Confirmation of Menus: all menu items, dishes, dietaries requirements and beverage selection must be confirmed seven (7) business days before your event, we cannot guarantee late changes will be accepted.

Juliet Melbourne is named in memory of a bygone era, when Liverpool and Crossley Streets, the adjoining laneways, were Juliet Terrace and Romeo Lane. The names were changed in the late 1800s, in an attempt to gentrify an area frequented in the past by ‘women and men of the night’.

Juliet Melbourne’s strong female name is a celebration of the amazing women who work in the industry. The wine, beer, and spirit lists, and some of the food product, is a nod to Australia’s female producers and artisans.

Whether it is melt-in-your-mouth Tasmanian raclette cheese or a delicious cocktail, Juliet Melbourne is here to take you on a culinary journey to stimulate the senses.

The venue can cater for small and large groups, individuals and couples. Private functions are also welcome.
