About this space

Function Room, a private dining room in Grounded Grocer And Cafe centred on a single heavy solid-wood communal table.

Design: The room has dark timber floors, painted murals on two walls and a mix of vintage and contemporary furniture for an informal, homely appearance. Large sliding glass doors and sheer curtains provide broad daylight and even interior illumination.

Features: The room includes air conditioning, an upright piano and a glass display cabinet, and it receives abundant natural light from full-height sliding doors that connect to outdoor seating. The space allows its own music or a hired DJ and provides step-free access plus wheelchair-accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Small groups wanting a relaxed, seated meal or an informal meeting around a single communal table.

What guests say: The space is friendly and inviting. The room is relaxed and sunlit, and the staff are regularly described as welcoming.
