Moonhouse is a modern Cantonese-inspired restaurant set in a restored Art Deco building on Carlisle Street, Balaclava.

The interior pairs the building's original features with a menu drawn from Cantonese tradition.

Located among the cafes, wine bars, and independent shops on Carlisle Street and the wider St Kilda area. Moonhouse sits directly opposite Balaclava Station, with tram routes 3 and 16 outside.

For events, the venue offers two spaces. Upstairs at Moonhouse is a private dining room above the restaurant, available for smaller dinners through to larger celebrations, with its own private entrance, bar, and amenities. For larger groups, the ground floor restaurant is available for exclusive hire.

Both spaces can host seated dinners, yum cha-style celebrations, or canapé-style parties. Dietary requirements are accommodated across all menus.
