The Rebel Theatre at Australian Theatre for Young People
About this space
Named after ATYP alumna and Ambassador Rebel Wilson, this modern amphitheatre is the meeting place of state-of-the-art technology and old-school theatre opulence.
Seating 180 patrons, it is as extroverted as its namesake—from the neon red Rebel sign at the box office to the striking ruby seating inside. Housed on the second floor of the Walsh Bay premises, the theatre is accessible by lift or via stairs through the stunning bar (also available for hire), where modern facilities complement welcoming features such as exposed wharf beams and rustic flooring.
The bar level features spectacular views of the Harbour Bridge from the indoor area and access to a generously proportioned outdoor balcony.
