About this space
The Lab is our secret haven with a unique, world-class view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and familiar, friendly face, Luna Park! The Lab is the first of our studio spaces you encounter, located on the ground floor of our ATYP office here at Pier 2/3. This is an intimate space that is perfect for collaboration and creativity with the astounding views of Sydney Harbour.
The Lab accommodates 20 persons max.
The room can be blacked out for viewings with our floor-to-ceiling drapes.
Innovation is key in a space like this, with access to: a two-speaker sound system easily operable via bluetooth, or a 3.5mm jack connection; a 65” Samsung TV that operates Digital TV, Theatre Playback, and is also able to be connected to any form of audio-visual media you desire via the HDMI panel on the wall; we also have glorious lights inside The Lab, with the lighting residing to 4 standard settings (OFF–LOW–MEDIUM–HIGH).
We also offer a standard lighting grid which can be operated with an in-house ATYP technician* on the day of your event, as well as Radio Frequency assistance being available.
This space is suitable for workshops, team-building activities, functions, classes, presentations for intimate crowds, brainstorming bright ideas, and more!

Host rules
- No smoking in the building.
- No hot drinks and beverages in the theatre.
- Hirer not permitted to touch any technical equipment without a ATYP staff member present
- No Alcohol after 10pm
- No outside alcohol is to be brought into the venue without a catering license
- Shared Foyer is available in a non- exclusive capacity for client use when hiring the Rebel Theatre but must be alerted to in advance as it will be a negotiation with other building tenants.
