About this space
The studio is a long, open rectangular room with a mid-height ceiling and recessed ceiling lights that provide even artificial illumination. Pale grey painted walls, full-length mirrors along one side and a smooth pale vinyl floor with taped marker lines define the working surface.
Room features: Built-in PA speakers allow amplified playback for rehearsals and music-led sessions, and on-site Wi‑Fi plus dedicated storage support longer productions. Air conditioning maintains a stable environment and step-free guest access with accessible toilets supports inclusive bookings.
Best for: Dance rehearsals, movement and choreography filming, and dance or fitness classes.
What sets it apart: A raised viewing mezzanine runs above one side of the studio, providing elevated camera positions and an observation area.

The venue has, from memory, a minimum of two double power points, one at either end of one wall. The venue manager can check whether there are any more.
Yes. As a dry-hire, self-accessible venue, hirers must set up and pack down the space themselves, and staff are not always on site, so set-up and pack-down time should be included in the booking hours. Seven trestle tables and 80 black fold-out chairs are stored in the large studio's storage room, through the door to the left of the large studio; extra set-up time is recommended, and everything must be packed away so the studio is left clear for the next booking.
No, there is no natural light in the Ngarra Room or Studio B.
The Ngarra Room has a single lighting setup, as shown in the photos, which can be dimmed. Studio B offers coloured lighting options, which can be adjusted using the lighting control panel in the room. Studio A is the only studio in the venue that has natural light, however it is also our largest space.
