About this space
Ultimo Studio features a large wooden floor, Tarkett dance floor, kitchen, full bathroom, chill out, and production area. The room is light and airy with a huge balcony that has city views toward Darling Harbour.
We value the groundbreaking work and creative thinking of the independent artist. Through programs and space hire in our Ultimo studio we provide a physical center for artists to gather, practice, collaborate and contribute to the community.

Cancellations 7 days in advance will receive a full refund.
Cancellations 7 days to 24 hours in advance will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations for events starting within 24 hours are non-refundable.

Rules of the space
Strictly NO smoking on the premises including the Balcony.
The space is not a place of public entertainment and is not available for private parties or live music.
Noise limitations: the space is located over a Child Care Centre and therefore noise must be reduced between 12pm–2pm Monday–Friday, while the children are sleeping downstairs. The space is also located in a heavily residential area so hirers and artists must respect the quiet enjoyment of the surrounding residents whilst in the space and when exiting the venue.
Special Terms & Conditions Relating to Covid-19:
Use the kitchen for water bottle filling only; and bring your own utensils.
Do not use the shower.
Follow the cleaning checklist posted in the studio to clean frequently touched surfaces (door handles, stereo, light switches, heating/cooling, tables, locks/touchpad, washbasin, toilet, Tarkett) during your residency using the cleaning supplies provided.
Work with the windows open when possible to ensure clean and fresh airflow.
All users of the studio must be fully vaccinated as a requirement of the NSW government Public Health Order. The hirer agrees they will show proof of vaccination status or medical exemption via a digital certificate or immunization history statement.
Inform ReadyMade Works Inc of any damages to property and/or equipment especially the doors and windows as the space is a historic building.
Will not at any time move the internal concertina doors and take care in opening windows and external doors.
The Hirer is responsible for securing the venue at the conclusion of hire including closing all windows, balcony doors, locking the main door including the lock at the bottom of the door, securing the padlock and green gate.
Not attach in any way to walls doors, glass, floors, furniture or fittings in or around the space any nails, screws, adhesive tape, signs or other items unless prior permission has been granted by RMW Inc.
Not at any time graffiti or write/chalk on the walls.
About ReadyMade Works
ReadyMade’s studio is a multi-purpose rehearsal space suitable for the performing arts with a focus on the independent dance community and its development.
Located in Ultimo, it is a 15-minute walk from Central Station and can be easily accessed via the Sydney Light Rail.
