Host rules
- No smoking or vaping inside the venue or within 5 metres of the entrance
- No outside food or beverages permitted (including catering, alcohol, or snacks)
- All guests must be 18+ if alcohol is being served, unless accompanied by a legal guardian
- Responsible service of alcohol (RSA) applies at all times – intoxicated guests may be refused service
- Decorations are welcome, but must be approved in advance and not cause damage to the venue
- Nothing may be affixed to walls or surfaces without prior permission
- Live music or amplified sound must be discussed in advance and comply with noise restrictions
- Any damages to venue property will be the responsibility of the hirer
- Event setup and pack down times must be confirmed and adhered to
- Final guest numbers and dietary requirements must be provided at least 72 hours prior to the event

Vinesmith City Cellar Door is a stylish, award-winning venue designed by Denton Corker Marshall. Downstairs, we have a relaxed wine bar and cellar. Upstairs – a bistro perfect for private dining and events.
Led by a French wine expert, we offer an exclusive list of 40 imported French wines, alongside selections from our own wineries. Our menu blends Parisian bistronomy with a Melbourne twist – seasonal, refined, and designed to pair perfectly with our wines.
Ideal for intimate dinners, cocktail parties, tastings, weddings, or corporate events. We can offer flexible hire options with a warm and professional team of sommeliers (who all have wine diplomas such as WSET 3 and 4).
