About this space

Croquet Lawn, a semi-private outdoor space at Como House and Garden, fronts the estate's formal garden and provides a heritage garden setting.

Design: The garden's structured planting beds and mature trees define the area, with clipped borders and perennial massing that read as a managed Victorian garden. The nearby mansion's verandah and period railings form an architectural backdrop that frames views across the space.

Features: The Croquet Lawn provides a level grass surface suitable for temporary furniture and lawn games. The space includes an on-site PA system and speakers. The area has wheelchair access and accessible toilets located nearby.

Ideal for: The Croquet Lawn is ideal for small social groups seeking a relaxed, outdoor standing reception or an informal seated gathering.

What guests say: The gardens are well maintained and easy to explore. The outdoor areas feel walkable, with paths and open planting that support leisurely visits.
