External Area at Flemington and Kensington Bowling Club

About this space

External Area is a Private outdoor space at Flemington and Kensington Bowling Club and features an expansive, level outdoor playing surface.

Design: The space is a wide, rectangular green expanse surfaced in smooth turf and framed by distant trees. The pavilion along one edge gives a low, horizontal profile and the area receives abundant natural daylight.

Features: A covered veranda with tables and benches runs the length of the pavilion and provides sheltered seating. Benches and low fencing mark the perimeter and allow direct, level access from the pavilion. Natural daylight fills the area and tall floodlight poles provide illumination for evening use.

Ideal for: Community groups and social clubs are best suited to this outdoor space for relaxed, activity‑centred gatherings that mix standing and casual seating.

What guests say: The outdoor area has a retro, community‑club character and a pleasant sunny aspect. The space is experienced as welcoming and social.
