Rules of the space

Host rules

• Maximum capacity is 80 guests standing or 60 guests seated.

• Smoking is not permitted inside the studio.

• Alcohol may not be consumed, served or sold anywhere on the property without prior written approval from Abdstract Studio.

• DJs, live entertainment, drums and large speakers require prior written approval.

• Children must be actively supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

• Pets require prior written approval and must remain supervised.

• External vendors must be approved in advance and hold current public liability insurance of at least $10 million. Food and beverage vendors must also meet all applicable food-safety and registration requirements.

• Food trucks and cooking vans may operate only in approved outdoor areas. Vehicles are not permitted inside the studio.

• No open flames, candles, smoke machines, confetti, glitter or hazardous materials without prior written approval.

• Nothing may be nailed, drilled, screwed, stapled or permanently attached to walls, floors, backdrops or furniture.

• Furniture, props and backdrops must be handled carefully. Styling changes or the removal of backdrops must be approved in advance.

• Guests must remain within the approved hire areas and respect neighbouring businesses and shared areas.

• The hirer is responsible for the conduct and supervision of all guests and vendors.

• Any damage, missing items or excessive mess may result in additional charges.

• All set-up, pack-down, rubbish removal and departure must be completed within the booked hire period.

• The studio must be returned to its original condition, with furniture and props placed back in their original positions.

• Overtime is charged at $150 per hour in 30-minute increments.

• Content or activities that are explicit, violent, discriminatory, offensive, illegal or unsafe are not permitted.

Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day with Grace Period
