I had such a beautiful birthday dinner at The Dale. The space itself is fantastic—stylish, intimate, and perfect for setting a mood. We were able to dim the lighting a little to create a more romantic atmosphere, which really made the night feel special and personal. The whole evening just flowed effortlessly. Great vibes, a warm and welcoming setting, and the perfect place to celebrate with people you care about. It turned into one of those nights you don’t want to end. Highly recommend for anyone looking to create a memorable, cozy experience. Kate was also incredibly lovely and helpful throughout the night, which really added to the experience! She even set up a mic and projector screen for us, which meant we could run fun games, I could have my own Steve Jobs-esque speech moment and keep everyone entertained. The space is way larger than you think - I very comfortably was able to host 35 people and not once did I think way this is way too cramped - it struck a really nice balance between being lively and still allowing people to chat easily. Even with two long tables right in the middle of the room there were still spots to sit that were away from the festivities. Even though the space is quite large, the acoustics of the space are wonderful - it never got too loud, so speeches and conversations were easy to hear. The flexibility of the setup made it simple to transition between dinner, games, and mingling without any disruption (full functioning fridge made it so easy for catering + cake, and the kitchenette is well equipped with things helpful for hosting a dinner!). Also, the overall atmosphere just felt really warm and inviting, which made guests feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment they arrived. Another great bonus is that the venue is BYO, which made it super convenient and helped us tailor the night to our own preferences. The location is also a huge plus—being so close to Central, it’s really accessible and made it easy for everyone to get there without any hassle, which made a big difference when organising a group. Everything came together so effortlessly—from the atmosphere to the setup—and it made hosting feel easy and stress-free. Overall, it was such a special and memorable night with amazing vibes. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. I would definitely do it again!

The Dale Library was such an incredible venue, and Kate was so accommodating and prepared. We hosted an event of 20 people, that required lots of setup and decorating - Kate handled all of it and provided lots of info and ideas of how to style the room. She went above and beyond as the venue manager, helping myself and other event staff set up our decorations. We were also provided with a projector and speaker that they helped us set up, which made the event run super smoothly. The venue is even more beautiful in person, and furniture can be arranged to accommodate a variety of events or preferences. There was a small kitchen station and fridge which was helpful in storing drinks and food, as well as an easily accessible bathroom. One of the most helpful things for our guests was how close to central station it is located! It was very easy to find, and Kate provided a personalised sign at the door to direct our guests into the building quite smoothly. Booking the venue was a totally stress-free process. Kate is super communicative, so in the lead up to the event there was no problem with any last minute change of plans (such as adding a couple extra seats, or changing some of the setup arrangements). Overall I am beyond happy with the service of the team at the Dale Library, they were incredibly professional and prepared - which made my job hosting the event so much easier. The Library itself is such an immersive and beautiful space, it is able to be decorated for a variety of different occasions - which means that I will definitely be back for more events in future!
