About this space
Our original space, dubbed “Lumber Studio” is the perfect photography production space. We have 9 different colored paper backdrops for you to shoot with at no additional cost. We also have a record wall, murals and a white/brick industrial window with beautiful natural lighting.
The studio comes equipped with all your basic photo/video needs: lights, stands, tripods, chairs, a clothing rack, reflectors, clamps, tape, etc. The west-facing windows offer beautifully soft light throughout the day and warm/dramatic sunset lighting in the afternoon. The windows also have blackout curtains for custom lighting setups.
We have cameras, lenses, and premium gear available for rent. The hub we’ve built serves many purposes other than artistic production; it’s the perfect spot for small meetings, co-working, pop-up shops, etc.
There’s a room divider which can be used as a changing place. This studio has been featured on television, and in music videos and is ready for your next production.

Allowed events
Host rules
Masks are required by everyone, in all public areas of the building. Within our studios, masks are required for anyone not being photographed or filmed.
It is required by our building that someone from the Lumber Studios team be represented in the studio during rentals; a studio manager will be in the space with you during your rental. Their purpose is to help you with any questions or concerns. Our staff is very friendly and will stay out of the way of your production.
No loud music / excessive noise is allowed in either space before 6pm.
No glitter or confetti is allowed in either space; violation may result in a $50 cleaning fee
No smoking is allowed inside or within 15 feet of the building. Violation will result in immediate removal, no refunds will be issued.
No alcohol may be consumed in the studio; alcohol products may be used for visual effects only.
No pets are allowed inside the building.

All 3 of our production spaces are inside the same building and come equipped with all the creative tools you need for a successful photo, video or audio production space in Chicago.
Location near the highway, train, bus and divvy along with free parking ensure you’ll have no trouble finding us.
