Milano Bar & Ristorante is a stylish Italian restaurant and private events venue located in The Arcadian, in the heart of Birmingham city centre and directly opposite Birmingham Hippodrome.
The venue offers two flexible private-hire options. The Milano Lounge is a semi-private dining area accommodating up to 35–40 seated guests, while exclusive hire of the full restaurant can accommodate approximately 90 seated guests or more than 200 guests for a standing reception, depending on the layout.
Milano is ideal for birthday celebrations, engagement parties, wedding receptions, corporate dinners, networking events, Christmas parties, product launches, drinks receptions and other special occasions. Flexible layouts can be discussed to suit seated dining, standing events or a combination of both.
Group dining options include our Executive Four-Course Set Menu at £34.95 per person and Premium Four-Course Set Menu at £69.95 per person. Menu choices, pre-orders and dietary requirements are arranged in advance. Drinks packages, arrival drinks, hosted bars, celebration cakes and decorations can also be discussed as part of the event planning.
Private hire is offered on a minimum-spend basis, with all food and drinks purchased during the event contributing towards the agreed amount. Minimum spends vary according to the date, timings, guest numbers, space selected and event requirements.
The Milano Lounge is semi-private and does not include use of the venue’s DJ booth or DJ equipment. For exclusive venue hire, DJs, entertainment and use of venue facilities may be available subject to prior agreement.
Milano is easily accessible from Birmingham New Street and Moor Street stations, making it convenient for local guests and visitors travelling into the city.
All private-hire bookings are enquiry-only and subject to availability, confirmation, agreed terms and payment of a deposit.

Host rules
• No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the venue.
• Outside food and drink are not permitted unless agreed in writing in advance. Celebration cakes may be permitted with prior approval.
• Guests must comply with the venue’s Challenge 25 policy. Valid identification may be required for the purchase of alcohol.
• The venue reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated, behaves aggressively or creates a safety risk.
• Decorations must be approved in advance. Confetti, glitter, smoke effects, pyrotechnics, naked flames and anything that may damage or stain the venue are not permitted unless specifically agreed.
• Nothing may be attached to walls, furniture, windows or fixtures without permission.
• DJs, performers, photographers and other external suppliers must be approved before the event. Additional documentation may be required.
• The DJ booth and DJ equipment are not included with Milano Lounge bookings. Entertainment facilities may be available for exclusive venue hire by prior agreement.
• Guests and suppliers must not block fire exits, walkways or emergency equipment.
• Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
• The organiser is responsible for the conduct of guests and external suppliers.
• Any damage, missing items or excessive cleaning caused by the event may be charged to the organiser.
• Access, music, bar service and event finish times must follow the timings agreed in the booking confirmation.
• Personal belongings and supplier equipment must be removed by the agreed collection time.
• All events must comply with the venue’s premises licence, capacity limits and instructions from the management team.
