Safety guidelines for planning an event in Singapore during the COVID-19 period

We know it can be difficult to keep up with all the COVID-19 related regulations, especially when it comes to what kinds of events can take place and how many guests are allowed. To help you better understand, we have prepared a summary to update you on the most current safety rules that apply to venues. Keep in mind that even though most venues will follow such guidelines, we would still recommend reaching out to the venue you intend to book to find out in detail how their capacity has changed.

General venue operation and event hosting guidelines

  • Venues may operate at a reduced capacity based on the 1-metre social distance rule
  • Gatherings may not have more than 8 people

Wedding solemnisations

  • Social distancing of 1 metre must be observed
  • For wedding ceremonies of 100+, the bride and groom must be tested before event
  • Events may be held at places of worship, and other external venues

Wedding receptions

• Wedding receptions of 100+ all guests must be tested before event

Large scale event venues (such as conferences, exhibitions, concerts and trade fairs

  • Social distancing of 1 metre must be observed
  • Up to 50 attendees allowed

Karaoke, Bars, Nightclubs, Theatres

  • Venues are currently closed
