Safety guidelines for planning an event in Melbourne, Australia during the COVID-19 period

We know it can be difficult to keep up with all the COVID-19 related regulations, especially when it comes to what kinds of events can take place and how many guests are allowed. General venue operation and event hosting guidelines

  • Up to 25 patrons are permitted in a venue before the density quotient applies
  • Food 1.5-metre distance between tables
  • 50% capacity rule applies up to a maximum of 300 people
  • 1 person per 4sqm on a dance floor, up to a maximum of 50 people

Weddings

  • No maximum attendee caps indoors or outdoors, density quotient of 1 per 2 sqm applies when using electronic record keeping
