Among The Trees is an art studio that centres its work on reclaimed and recycled timber.

Venue highlights: Hands-on workshop fitted for joinery and finishing, supported by on-site milling, machining and furniture refinishing services. An adjacent retail counter stocks reclaimed timber and timber-related products, and the venue offers delivery, in-store shopping and onsite services.

Best for: Product and furniture photography, filming woodworking processes and small-scale craft or maker shoots. Hands-on workshops, demonstrations and instructional filming are also supported.

Location: Marrickville. The venue is a short walk from local bus stops serving routes 418, 425 and 430 and about eight minutes on foot from Sydenham train station; the site provides an accessible parking bay and free off-site parking, and a back entrance on Meeks Lane permits drop-offs and collections by appointment.

What guests say: The venue runs well-structured, hands-on woodworking courses and provides milling, refinishing and machining services with quick turnaround. The teaching team is patient and knowledgeable and the staff give practical advice on timber selection.
