About this space

The Regency Suite is a Georgian sitting room on the first floor of the Assembly Rooms Newcastle. Three tall south-facing windows fill it with daylight. Marble fireplaces, an original chandelier and soft wall lighting give it a warm, elegant feel, and the neutral décor makes it easy to style.
It works well for wedding ceremonies, arrival drinks, private dining and smaller corporate events. The suite seats up to 90 theatre-style, 36 for a banquet or 28 around a boardroom table, and holds 75 guests standing. It's a popular choice for ceremonies, with guests moving next door for drinks and the wedding breakfast. It also hosts the venue's seasonal afternoon teas.
The suite opens onto the Falstaff Bar and the Chandelier Suite. That makes it a natural pre-dinner drinks room or breakout space for larger events on the same floor, and it can be booked with the rest of the first floor for exclusive use.
