The Other Room is a Lounge in Dragonfly Cocktail Bar, an intimate 1920s‑style cocktail lounge.
Design: The Other Room's interior pairs tufted leather sofas and low‑slung chandeliers with patterned wallpaper and terracotta tiled flooring. The room has low ceilings and layered coloured uplighting that shifts the mood between daytime natural light and evening tones.
Features: The Other Room includes a built‑in PA system and speakers and permits playing your own music or hiring an external DJ. The Other Room also provides Wi‑Fi, natural light from a raised bay window, fixed lounge seating and small tables arranged for conversation.

Amazing venue, cosy feel and great vibe and ambiance. Yes I used that word!
It was 35 of us and it felt busy and it would have been at smaller number as well. Finding a venue for this size of party wasn’t easy!
Great bar at the back with excellent drinks
The staff on the night were excellent and super friendly.
We were helped and managed throughout the process by Alex who was amazing. He guided us every step of the way and responded to all queries promptly
He was very accommodating of requirements.
Staff helped and checked regularly on under 18 (the only venue that allowed us, with some restrictions)
There was a good space for a table to place food and the place has lovely decor. We brought in extra lights, balloons and other stuff but the place doesn’t need much as it looks incredible already.
Location is perfect as it’s very central so lots of options for transport
I would definitely book it again
There was nothing I disliked.
The only thing to watch out for is that parking to unload can be tricky if there is heavy traffic. We parked and took things out of the car and cars drove around us. It was fairly straightforward but we had to be quick.

The venue was excellent! Really helpful and accommodating staff and a great size of room. All of the guests were very impressed by the venue.
The bar in the side room got very busy at points which led to people going through and being served at the main bar, which didn’t count towards the minimum spend. There were times where it would have been helpful to have two bar tenders working on the bar in the room. Everything else was brilliant though!

Yes, DJs are allowed, but they must be arranged by the hirer. They only need to bring their playback equipment, such as decks, CDJs or a controller; the venue provides a PA system and DJ riser/table.
Yes, the room has a sound system that you can plug a device into, plus points for a DJ or band to connect their own equipment.
No. The bar spend applies only to drinks purchased in the private room, as sales elsewhere cannot be tracked.
Yes, there are a couple of little corners it could possibly squeeze into, but it depends how much space it takes up. If you could provide the footprint dimensions, we could let you know.
