A 16,000 sq ft entertainment venue in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town, just off George Street. Formerly the much-loved Jam House, 5 Queen Street combines a stage, a kitchen, private rooms and karaoke booths under one roof, with a licence until 3am.

The Front Area
A relaxed bar and dining space at the front of the venue, ideal for drinks receptions, private dining and smaller parties.

The Main Hall
The heart of the venue: a large room with a full performance stage and in-house sound and lighting. It suits galas, balls, awards dinners, live music, comedy and club nights.

The Balcony
A first-floor gallery overlooking the Main Hall and stage, with views of the action below. It works well as a VIP area, a private party space or extra capacity for larger events.

Private Rooms & Karaoke Booths
Private rooms for meetings, private dining and smaller celebrations, plus karaoke booths for groups. They're a great add-on for birthdays, team nights and after-parties.

Host rules

• No smoking or vaping anywhere inside the building.
• No food or drink may be brought onto the premises. All food and drink is supplied by the venue.
• No drinks may be taken outside the building at any time.
• Under-18s are welcome until 22:00 only, and must be supervised by an adult. The venue is strictly 18+ after 22:00.
• We operate Challenge 25. Guests who appear under 25 must show valid photo ID to be served alcohol.
• The venue's duty manager has final authority over sound levels and may reduce volume at any time.
• No external sound equipment, speakers or amplification without the venue's prior written agreement.
• All décor must be flame-retardant. Nothing may be fixed to walls, ceilings or fittings without permission.
• No confetti, glitter, pyrotechnics, candles with open flames, smoke or haze machines without prior written agreement.
• Guest numbers must not exceed the capacity agreed at booking.
• The event must finish at the agreed time. Please leave quietly and respect our residential neighbours.
• Venue security may refuse entry or remove anyone behaving in an unsafe or disorderly manner.
• Any damage to the venue, its fixtures or equipment will be charged to the organiser.
