About this space

The Yard is a private outdoor space at The Button Factory defined by its industrial courtyard character and an adaptable layout for casual, communal hire.

Design: Exposed Victorian brick walls and visible steel columns create a raw industrial backdrop. Timber picnic benches, a raised timber deck and simple hard flooring keep the layout informal and functional.

Features: The yard provides fixed timber picnic seating and a raised deck that functions as a performance area, plus a PA system and speakers. The space permits guest music and bring-your-own DJs, and it includes Wi‑Fi, step-free access and accessible toilets, with outdoor seating served by the venue's bar for food and drink.

Ideal for: Groups of friends or colleagues seeking a relaxed, social gathering that mixes seated picnic-style dining and standing socialising.

What sets it apart: A translucent fixed canopy shelters the yard, enabling outdoor use in light rain while admitting diffuse daylight.

What guests say: The yard hosts lively music and outdoor entertainment nights and creates a convivial, late-night atmosphere.
