Space features
The Post is a semi‑private outdoor space at Rydges Parramatta centred on a large fixed tensile canopy that concentrates covered bench seating on a paved terrace.
Design: The terrace pairs broad paved circulation with timber communal benches and metal-framed tables arranged for flexible layouts. The hotel façade and tall palms create a contained urban courtyard punctuated by string lights and market umbrellas.
Features: The space includes movable picnic-style benches and loose tables and supports live or recorded music through an on-site PA system; outside DJs are permitted. The area receives abundant natural light, is wheelchair accessible and benefits from open-air ventilation for standing or seated setups.
Ideal for: Social groups seeking an informal, adaptable outdoor setting suited to relaxed seated meals or standing receptions.
What guests say: The hotel's staff are warm, welcoming and consistently attentive, providing prompt on-the-ground support for issues that arise.
