What is a CYC wall?
A CYC (cyclorama) wall is a seamlessly curved wall and floor surface that eliminates visible corners and edges, creating an infinite, horizon-free background. It's the gold standard for commercial photography, product shoots, portraits, fashion, and video content where a clean, distraction-free backdrop is essential.
How big is your CYC wall?
Our CYC wall measures 6.2 metres wide by 5 metres deep, giving you generous space for a wide range of shoots. From solo portraits and large group shots to mid-size product photography and video productions.
What colour is your CYC wall?
Our CYC wall is white, which gives you maximum flexibility. It can be lit to appear as pure white, mid-grey, or near-black, and coloured gels or our studio lighting can be used to achieve virtually any background tone you need.

Is your studio suitable for video shoots?
Yes. Our studio is suitable for interviews, brand videos, social media content and creative video productions. The space is sound treated so you would not need to worry about echo.
Is there space for crew and equipment?
Yes. The studio has additional floor space beyond the CYC itself for lighting rigs, equipment cases, crew and easy access via a 4m tall electronic roller door. Exact layouts depend on your setup.
What lighting is available in the studio?
No lighting is included other than main lights in the studio. Lighting equipment is available for hire subject to availability. You may open the roller door to let in natural lighting if that’s a look you may be going for.
Can I bring my own lighting equipment?
Yes, you're welcome to bring your own lighting equipment.

Welcome to Hu Studios! We want your shoot to go smoothly, so please take a moment to read through these before your session.
Arrival & departure
Please arrive at your booked start time, setup and pack-down are included within your booking window.
If you're running behind, let us know as soon as possible. Late departures may affect the next booking.
Capacity
Please keep your crew to a reasonable size for the space. If you're expecting a large team, give us a heads up when booking.
Equipment & props
You're welcome to bring your own equipment and props. Please ensure everything is removed at the end of your session.
Take care with existing studio equipment, furniture, and surfaces treat them as you'd want yours treated.
Food & drink
Light snacks and drinks are fine. Please clean up after yourselves and dispose of all rubbish before leaving.
No alcohol unless approved in advance.
Noise
Please be mindful of neighbours. Keep noise at a reasonable level, especially if music is involved. We work upstairs in the studio.
Damage
Accidents happen, just let us know straight away. Clients are responsible for any damage caused during their booking, if studio/lighting is damages an excess of $2000 will be payable for liability insurance.
Damage to the couch, monitor, desk, storage rack, polyboards lighting etc will incur the cost of replacing the item.
Smoke, fog & haze machines
Please check with us before using any smoke, fog, or haze effects in the studio.
Leaving the space
Leave the studio as you found it, furniture returned to position, rubbish cleared, and lights off.
A cleaning fee may apply if the space is left in poor condition.
Respect the space
No smoking or vaping indoors.
Pets are welcome with prior approval.
Be respectful to anyone else using shared areas of the building.
Cancellation policy: Flexible with Grace Period
