The room and setting were great. I had around 20 people and that felt like a good size for the room. It was great to be able to connect to the speakers. The minimum spend felt very reasonable and I was able to put money behind the bar. They were able extend the booking slightly when we decided we wanted to stay a bit longer. Having a private space really felt extra special. Great vodka martini.
I told the organiser ahead of time that my parents would be bringing a birthday cake. When they arrived they then had a difficult time bringing in the cake as staff were trying to make them leave it outside? We weren't allowed to light the candles. Then the bar didn't let us have a knife to cut the cake saying that they had informed me ahead of time that no cutlery or knife would be provided. This was not the case and I had email chains with no evidence of this. (We made do with a chopstick but the staff were quite unreasonable and difficult in this situation). If I had had advance warning I obviously would have just not brought it. This just should have been communicated better ahead of time. If you are connecting to the speakers just bear in mind that your phone is plugged in via aux lead and you have to leave it next to the speaker.

The staff were very warm and inviting, drinks service was excellent Mike served us with the upmost efficiency. Food was great and all guests had an amazing time.
Couldn’t even get a butter knife to cut a cake we had pre arranged to be brought in. Small thing but having to divide it with chopsticks was extremely messy.
