Food was good, price was reasonable and we were very happy witht he service on the day.

Catering fantastic! It's the first day after the event and I am feeling really grateful to the whole event team at the Grand Connaught Room, it was my first event and I organised it by myself so a very attentive staff at the venue made this experience even more enjoyable

The team was not a team! Staff tried their best but individuals changed several times and did not seem to know each other or share information, leading to a very poor level of service.

The room was wonderful with great lighting and fantastic facilities.
The lunch buffet food was luke warm and the portion sizes were quite small. We had issues with the payments as the invoices were only pro-forma invoices and without invoice number.
Working lunch spread was beautiful. UV and catering staff very helpful in assisting to set up. (although had to request longer leads to connect to projector on arrival, which had asked for in advance)
Lunch laid out too early and had to request it to be covered to keep fresh. Room was dirty, needed lick of paint. Part of door frame falling off. Also not happy with self service refreshments as paid for unlimited tea/coffee, but as guests had to get themselves, and was in another room, due to presentation/meeting it wasn't feasible to leave room when needed tea/coffee. Would have been much better value to be served. Paid for Lectern which was dirty and looked liked needed some TLC. Due to negatives, feel was overpriced. The elevator also broke before guests arrived and wasn't working for the majority duration of our visit. Although reception staff did get straight onto this once reported.
